Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Houston, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 1 day a week. The most common schedule is 7 AM–7 PM. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (713) 797-0670. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is godosbakery.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 368 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is the best Filipino restaurant/store in Houston. As someone who connects to their culture through food they remember having as a child served to them by their Lola. Not as cheap as the food in the Philippines but just as authentic and delicious. Great service and great bakery too.

The people running the store are nice. Unfortunately, the food is not quite what I was hoping for nor what I expected from my past experiences with authentic Filipino cuisine. I ordered the topsilog for breakfast which claims to come with 2 eggs (usually over easy) but, as you can tell, there was only 1 (over hard). The meat had good flavor but was very tough/dry. They have an great selection of other foods and baked goods which I look forward to trying in the future. Just not quite what I was expecting for my first time from so many positive reviews by others.

They are very nice people. Though I didn’t try their food but I am sure they have some delicious cuisine.

Food was pretty good. The pork was a bit dry. I ordered the beef with rice but the portion size was a bit too small for me. However I did very much enjoy it. Just upgrade the portion size.

Great place to eat and enjoy the ambiance! The food was delicious and fresh! The restaurant was clean! The staff were friendly and easy to talk to and described the food. I highly recommend Godo's restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner to everyone to experience Filipino cuisine!
